Officer

Aboard the long-range surveillance P-3K2 Orion and Hercules cargo aircraft, you will learn to operate and manage the complex hi-tech systems that keep them flying.
You will understand why this is one of the most sought after careers in the Air Force as you take the controls of the most awesome military aircraft in our fleet.

Airman/Airwoman

As an Air Warfare Specialist your primary role is to utilise the P-3K2 Orion’s highly advanced sensor systems to collect and analyse information in the aircraft’s area of interest.
As a Helicopter Loadmaster you are a key member of a NH90 helicopter crew, within 3 Squadron, RNZAF. Your office is an advanced and agile aircraft designed to operate in a range of extreme environments all over the world. Your aircraft is capable of carrying up to 18 passengers and you will manage them and all cargo in the cabin. You will also operate the door guns, rescue hoist and underslung loads.
There’s never a dull moment as a Parachute Jump Instructor (PJI) in the Air Force. From conducting static line training courses to advanced free-fall training and a host of other responsibilities, you will find it an exhilarating and adrenalin-charged career.
